Louisiana Tech University is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as Student Experience Coordinator for the Honors College.

The Student Experience Coordinator will assist the college to support the University’s goals to retain students; connect at-risk students to campus resources;

and facilitate student success and persistence through advisement; and create programming to build community within the Honors College.

Specific duties and responsibilities include :

Plan and execute effective strategies and programs, including early intervention

strategies, to enhance retention and student success

Assist students with social and academic transitions

Coordinate with the Honors Student Advisory Board

Maintain knowledge and understanding of on- and off-campus referral sources that are

available to support students’ needs

Provide advising support for students and collaborate with on-campus stakeholders to

improve advising processes and procedures

Collect, interpret, and maintain college-specific data related to student retention and

graduation rates

Maintain familiarity with the University’s policies and procedures related to academic

standards and expectations and student advancement.

Develop effective programming and coordinate events and services to support student

development, out-of-classroom learning, and academic progress.

Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with University policies and state and

federal laws.

Some clerical work within the Honors Office, as determined in conversation with the

Director and Assistant Director.
